Jason & Kathleen go to Paris

So we went to Paris in November, 1997. And these are some of the photos. As always with these things, clicking on the photo will bring up a larger version. The sculpture behind us is in the Musee D'Orsay.

(That would be the Mona Lisa there. And Kathleen.)

(Some artists are not quite as famous as DaVinci, and appreciate our support.)

(Stone gargoyles plus one slightly softer one atop Notre Dame. We also went to a concert here where they played the organ accompanied by a choir. This one looks better in the big version.)

(The whole reason we were in Europe in the first place was because Kathleen was invited to present a paper at Oxford University. Here she is with one of the other participants.)

(The front of the Louvre)

(Some things, particularly those things that are sold at Van Cleef & Arpel, just cost too much.)

(This little bugger was small enough to be parallel parked perpendicularly.)

(Versailles at dusk.)

(The Eiffel Tower in the rain. On this day, there were 788 days until the end of the millenium)
